Racing Tips: Goofy's Speedway Empty

Ever open your Shticker book to the kart racing page; click on the Trophy tab; only to find a page full of cards marked with only question marks; and wonder what do I need to do to earn all my trophies?

Here are some tips to help out at the race track.

First, you'll need to purchase a kart at Goofy's Auto Shop. Buying the least expensive car leaves you with enough tickets to enter a battle race without earning more tickets at a practice race. Winning a battle race or completing it in under the qualify time also earns you tickets.

Next it is off to the tracks. This can be a bit confusing as there is no information in our shticker books. Here's information to help you decide which racing tunnel you need to use to get wins for a specific trophy. When you enter Goofy’s Speedway you will see many tunnels. Toons enter the tracks through the tunnels. There are 12 tunnels total; divided into 3 sets of 4 tunnels. Each set of tunnels allows you to enter 1 of 2 different race tracks. The current race track is displayed on the billboard above the tunnel. The billboard also lists how many tickets you need to enter the race and the qualify time. You must finish the race within the qualify time to win. Downside to missing qualify time is; for battle race you lose the race and your lose entry fee tickets; for practice race I don’t know of any downside. So pick your favorite of the 2.

For our purpose I’ll number the tunnels number 1 thru number12 with tunnel 1 being on the left and tunnel 12 being on the right.

Set 1, the left set contains tunnels 1 thru 4. These are the Urban tracks which are named City Circuit and Blizzard Boulevard. Urban tracks are the hardest.
Set 2, the middle set, contains tunnels 5 thru 8. These are the Speedway tracks which are named Screwball Stadium and Corkscrew Coliseum. They are the easiest.
Set 3, the right set, contains tunnels 9 thru 12. These are the Rural tracks which are named Rustic Raceway and Airborne Acres. They are medium difficulty.

The 4 tunnels within each set allow access to the following:
Use the leftmost tunnel to enter a practice race in the forward direction.
Use the middle-left tunnel to enter a practice race in reverse direction.
Use the middle-right tunnel to enter a battle race in the forward direction.
Use the rightmost tunnel to enter a battle race in the reverse direction.

Trophies can only be won in battle races which you enter through tunnels 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12. Tunnels 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and 10 are practice races which earn you tickets only.

Certain trophies can only be won on certain days. Trophies #1 thru #20 and #30 can be earned all day on Tuesday thru Friday and Sunday and on some hours on Saturday. On Saturdays Toontown switches between Grand Prix and regular racing.
Trophies #21 thru #29 are the Grand Prix Trophies which can be earned all day on Monday and on Saturday Eastern Standard Time from 5AM to 7AM; 11AM thru 1PM; 5PM thru 7PM and 11PM thru 1AM Sun. To enter a Grand Prix you’ll need at least 500 tickets.

Trophy #30 is Grand Touring, you’ll need to win 12 races total. That’s 1 win on each of the 6 different race tracks (Screwball, Corkscrew, Rustic, Ariborne, City and Blizzard) in both the forward and reverse direction.

You'll need 325 wins to collect all trophies. 100 Speedway wins, 100 Rural wins, 100 Urban wins and 25 Tournament Races Swept wins. Toontown does not display how many races you have won, so if you want this information you'll need to track it yourself.

Trophy #1 is 1 Speedway Race Qualified, use tunnels 7 or 8
Trophy #2 is 10 Speedway Races Qualified, use tunnels 7 or 8
Trophy #3 is 100 Speedway Races Qualified, use tunnels 7 or 8

Trophy #4 is 1 Rural Race Qualified, use tunnels 11 or 12
Trophy #5 is 10 Rural Races Qualified, use tunnels 11 or 12
Trophy #6 is 100 Rural Races Qualified, use tunnels 11 or 12

Trophy #7 is 1 Urban Race Qualified, use tunnels 3 or 4
Trophy #8 is 10 Urban Races Qualified, use tunnels 3 or 4
Trophy #9 is 100 Urban Races Qualified, use tunnels 3 or 4

Trophy #10, is 100 Total Races Qualified, use tunnels 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 or 12

Note: To qualify you must finish within the qualify time. Qualify times are:
4 minutes for Screwball Stadium,
5 min. 35 sec. for Corkscrew Coliseum,
6 min. for Rustic Raceway and
8 min. for Airborne, City Circuit or Blizzard.

Trophy #11 is 1 Speedway Race Won, use tunnels 7 or 8
Trophy #12 is 10 Speedway Races Won, use tunnels 7 or 8
Trophy #13 is 100 Speedway Races Won, use tunnels 7 or 8

Trophy #14 is 1 Rural Race Won, use tunnels 11 or 12
Trophy #15 is 10 Rural Races Won, use tunnels 11 or 12
Trophy #16 is 100 Rural Races Won, use tunnels 11 or 12

Trophy #17 is 1 Urban Race Won, use tunnels 3 or 4
Trophy #18 is 10 Urban Races Won, use tunnels 3 or 4
Trophy #19 is 100 Urban Races Won, use tunnels 3 or 4

Trophy #20 is 100 Total Races Won, use tunnels 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 or 12

A tournament race is the same as a Grand Prix race. There are two different Grand Prix races; one for 500 tickets entry fee and the other for 1000 tickets. Either will earn you a win towards a trophy. You enter a Grand Prix Race thru tunnels 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 or 12. Screwball, Rustic and City Circuit cost 500. Corkscrew, Airborne and Blizzard cost 1000, but the tickets won is also larger.

Trophy #21 is 1 Tournament Race Qualified.
Trophy #22 is 5 Tournament Races Qualified.
Trophy #23 is 25 Tournament Races Qualified.
Qualified means that you finished the race within the qualify time, which is posted on the billboard above the race’s tunnel. A race qualified is not necessarily a race won also.

Trophy #24 is 1 Tournament Race Won.
Trophy #25 is 5 Tournament Races Won.
Trophy #26 is 25 Tournament Races Won.
Won means that you received the most Circuit Points and is not necessarily a Swept win also.

Toontown’s most challenging trophies:
Trophy #27 is 1 Tournament Race Swept
Trophy #28 is 5 Tournament Races Swept
Trophy #29 is 25 Tournament Races Swept
To win Grand Prix Swept Trophies #27, #28 and #29 you must win all 3 races in a row. You will earn trophies #20 thru #26 as you earn Grand Prix Swept wins.

Trophy #30 is Grand Touring. You’ll need a win in direction on each tunnel of the 6 tunnels. That’s 12 wins total:
Win 1: Screwball Stadium – Forward, use tunnel 7
Win 2: Screwball Stadium – Reverse, use tunnel 8
Win 3: Corkscrew Coliseum – Forward, use tunnel 7
Win 4: Corkscrew Coliseum – Reverse, use tunnel 8
Win 5: Rustic Raceway - Forward, use tunnel 11
Win 6: Rustic Raceway - Reverse, use tunnel 12
Win 7: Airborne Acres - Forward, use tunnel 11
Win 8: Airborne Acres - Reverse, use tunnel 12
Win 9: City Circuit – Forward – use tunnel 3
Win 10: City Circuit – Reverse – use tunnel 4
Win 11: Blizzard Boulevard – Forward – use tunnel 3
Win 12: Blizzard boulevard – Reverse – use tunnel 4

Trophy #31 is 1 laff point boost for 10 trophies won.
Trophy #32 is 1 laff point boost for 20 trophies won.
Trophy #33 is 1 laff point boost for 30 trophies won.

You’ll also receive 1 laff point boost for every 10 trophies you earn!

Good luck at the track!
